Ingredients

  • 480 ml fruit juice (e.g., pomegranate, cranberry, orange) chilled
  • 120 ml sparkling water plain or flavored
  • 1 piece lemon or lime for squeezing
  • a few leaves fresh herbs (mint, basil) or edible flowers optional for garnish
  • 1-2 tsp honey or agave syrup adjust to taste

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Fine strainer
  • Juicer or citrus press
  • Glasses and garnishes

Method

  1. Gather your chilled fruit juices and measure out about 120 ml into your cocktail shaker.
  2. Add a splash of sparkling water to the shaker, about 30 ml, to start building the fizz.
  3. Squeeze a fresh lemon or lime wedge into the shaker to add zesty brightness, then drop the wedge in.
  4. Add a teaspoon or two of honey or agave syrup for a touch of sweetness and balance.
  5. Fill the shaker halfway with ice, then secure the lid and shake gently for about 10 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and slightly bubbly.
  6. Place a fine strainer over a glass, then strain the mixture into it to remove pulp and ice shards, ensuring a clear, fizzy drink.
  7. Top off the glass with more sparkling water for extra effervescence and a lively sparkle.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs or edible flowers on top for a colorful, fragrant finishing touch.
  9. Repeat these steps for each glass, adjusting sweetness and citrus to your taste as needed.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy the bubbly, vibrant refreshment that’s perfect for any celebration!

Notes
