- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and melted butter until well combined and slightly frothy.4 large eggs
- Add the milk to the egg mixture and stir gently to incorporate.4 large eggs
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.4 large eggs
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined—do not overmix to keep the muffins tender.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled turkey bacon, distributing evenly throughout the batter.4 large eggs
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about three-quarters full for a domed top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18–22 minutes, until the muffins are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for a few minutes; then transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly.
- Serve warm or at room temperature for a savory, cheesy bite with crispy bacon bits.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped green onions or a pinch of black pepper into the batter before baking.
